Well, well, well…It’s officially launched. Thank you for dropping by Chateau Charty! Whether you’re familiar with who I am or a new friend- I’m so happy you’re here. I suppose I’ll start by introducing myself and the passion behind my blog. My name is Charlotte, or as most of my friends’ and loved ones know me as, Charty. I just turned 27 years old this summer and I've lived in Boston, MA for five years now. One word to describe me is unforgettable, and my tagline is “Kiss.” You’ll probably hear me say it a lot on here.

I’m an avid reader (can anyone say cowboy smut?), love a social gathering, I live for 6am workouts, and I love to ski in the winters. (Read: Après Skiing and meeting locals). I'm happiest when I'm on our boat in Sanibel, FL and I have a countless collection of snapback hats. My death row meal would probably be sushi or a cheeseburger, and I would end up spilling half of it on myself. My family and peeps are a very important part of my life, and I swear by my daily gratitude practice.

I’m a licensed clinical social worker at one of Boston's local hospitals, and I am passionate about my field of work. I love the opportunities in the social work world and the chance to change lives. I have supported so many adolescents and it just fills my soul. I recently had a job switch and it’s been a big transition that's had me reflecting. As many know, I love to write but have been missing it in the past five years as I’ve focused my career. If you know me, you know I have a special gift for captivating an audience through a story.

I love entertaining people and find such joy in making others’ days a little brighter. I used to write for my college (shoutout Siena!) women’s group, Her Campus, and loved the pieces I wrote there. I remember how connected I felt to others when they would share how much my work meant to them or how a piece resonated. Since then, I've been focused on my social media presence.

I always try to be authentic, bold, and not care what others think- especially on socials. Who cares? There's nothing more special than being 100% authentically YOU and that has always been who I am. I have been toying with the idea of starting a platform to share my stories for a while now but kept pushing it off. A few weeks ago, my dad encouraged me to finally start it as we had some IPAs (gross!) Thus, this feels like the perfect time to begin.

This blog will have pieces of what inspires me, deeper reflections, an advice column, restaurant and book reviews, fitness, fashion, and more! All the things that make me, well me. I am so excited to be on this journey with you and to share all my inner workings.
